Women are making Ganesha’s statue with cow dung, flowerpot, chandelier, bamboo tree-gord in the multi-utility center chest.

Raipur, 26 July 2020. Women members of the Multi-Utility Center Bihan of Village Chest in Dhamtari district met Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today at his residence office under the leadership of Sihawa MLA Smt. Dr. Lakshmi Dhruv. On this occasion, the members of the group presented products made of cow dung and bamboo to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and thanked them for starting the justice justice. The Chief Minister praised the products manufactured by the group and congratulated them for their continued progress. The women also invited the Chief Minister to visit the Chest Multutility Center.
Members of Chest Multutility Center Bihan of Dhamtari district said that 165 women of 15 self-help groups are working there. Member of self-help self-help group and city district member Smt. Durgesh Nandini Sahu said that his group has been working for the last 3 years. His group makes Ganesha’s idol, flowerpot, chandelier and other cow products from cow dung. The women of the group said that the Chest Multi Utility Center was inaugurated two months ago and now 165 women are engaged in the center. In this center, construction of tree gourd from bamboo is also being done by women of self-help groups. A woman earns Rs 100 for every tree tree she produces, and a woman produces 3 to 4 tree yards per day. Apart from this, the women belonging to the group also get a dividend in the profits from production, which has improved their standard of living and are now able to provide basic amenities to their family.
Members of Gyanandeep Self Help Group, Mrs. Lakshmi Chandrakar and Mrs. Kamala Bai said that their group makes rakhi from cow dung, Ganesh, Gamla and bamboo from paperweight, bangle-bracelet and beauty cosmetics for women. He told that till now the group has received an income of Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand from the sale of about 12 thousand 5 hundred rakhi. He said that berries, tomatoes and fruit seeds have been added to these rakhi made from cow dung, which can be planted in pots. Green tea is also being produced by the group in an area of about 16 acres from a brand called Shojash. This green tea combines lemon grass, basil, ginger, cloves and Giloy. Which is helpful in increasing immunity in this period of corona epidemic.
