IG Durg Range, team constituted by Mr. Vivekananda Sinha, investigation continues
Raipur 01 December 2020. State Women Commission chairperson Dr. Smt. Kiranmayi Nayak has taken cognizance of serious incident of human trafficking in Dongargarh development block of Rajnandgaon district. On Sunday, 29 November, he reached Rajnandgaon and held discussions with Mayor Smt. Hema Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police Shri D. Shravan and other officials. State Women’s Commission Chairman Dr. Mrs. Kiranmayi Nayak said that crime has been registered in Police Station Dongargarh. In which 5 accused have been arrested and police team has gone to Haryana to arrest 3 people. He informed that the Missing of girls and women up to 30 years of age should be investigated extensively at every police station level by sending a letter to the DGP on behalf of the Commission. For this, the scope of investigation should be extended to the perpetrators of human trafficking and those who protect them. Public awareness campaigns for such cases from local police stations also need to be continuously run. He also asked for the appointment of women sub-inspectors and constables in the newly formed districts.
It is noteworthy that a team has been formed by the Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Mr. Vivekananda Sinha, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police, District Durg (Rural) Smt. The team comprises of City Superintendent of Police Rajnandgaon Shri NS Chandra, Station In-charge Dongargarh Mr. Alexander Kiro, Sub-Inspector Rajnandgaon Mr. Bilkish Chauhan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Police Station Dongargarh Mr. BR Bisen, Thana Dongargarh, MPR 504 AP Sheela, Cyber Cell, Rajnandgaon Mr. Manish Manikpuri Police station Dongargarh includes Shri Rajendra Ravik, who will carefully take action in the case after carefully composing evidence and arresting the other accused.
