It is a pleasant feeling to see the sight of Ripa operated in Dhardei Gauthan of Bemetara district. Here the women and men of the village are seen wholeheartedly engaged in their respective income earning activities. The Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) operated in Gauthan has actually taken the form of a convenient industrial center. In Ripa, women are preparing mineral water, peanut chikki, artificial jewellery, while on the other hand furniture is also being manufactured.

According to the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) has been established in village Dhardei under Pathariya development block, with the aim of strengthening the rural economy and connecting the villagers with self-employment in the village itself. Collector Mr. Rahul Dev observed the materials produced by the women of self-help groups and traditional entrepreneurs at RIPA in the past days and inquired about the cost of production, marketing and income from it. Tasted the peanut chikki prepared by the women’s group, tested its quality and appreciated it and also bought it for itself. The women of the group told that mineral water is being produced and sold since the month of March. So far mineral water worth Rs 48 thousand has been sold. It has good demand in the market. On receiving the failure of the pouch machine, the Collector instructed to start it immediately.
The collector instructed to make better work plan and also provide e-rickshaws for transportation of produced materials for better income of groups and entrepreneurs working in Ripa. Various income-oriented activities like furniture, peanut chikki, artificial jewelry are being conducted by women and traditional entrepreneurs in Ripa of Dhardei.
