The Chief Minister said that the average fish productivity of our state has reached 4000 metric tonnes per hectare. Progressive fish farmers have started producing 8000 to 10,000 metric tonnes per hectare by rearing improved species. The nature and environment of Chhattisgarh is completely conducive for fish farming. He has said that the geographical position of our state is also such that there is a lot of potential for fisheries business here. Now a favorable environment for fish is available in the state. This effort is being made by the government to increase fish production. Now along with villages, big dams are also being used for fish farming.
