Raipur: With the implementation of old pension, worries about the future have ended: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister  Bhupesh Baghel attended the Chief Minister Pension Drishta Samman ceremony organized by Chhattisgarh Employees-Officers Federation at Indravati Bhawan, Nava Raipur, here today. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was congratulated by the Federation for the decision to restore the old pension scheme. Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma, Commissioner Shri C.R. Prasanna, Chief Executive Officer of NRDA and Commissioner Housing Board Dr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Heads of Departments of various departments, Chhattisgarh Staff Officers Federation’s Provincial Convener Mr. Kamal Verma, Federation officials along with a large number of officers and employees were also present.

On this occasion, while wishing everyone a Happy Navratri, the Chief Minister said that I am happy to know that due to the implementation of old pension, immense enthusiasm has been created among all of you. Now your worries about the future are over. Various employee organizations have told their problems, all will be resolved. The Chief Minister said that I was aware of the difficulty that you people were facing due to the Contributory Pension Scheme. Everyone wants to lead a dignified life after retirement. The strength of a government is the officers-employees, if you are worried then the work will also be affected, so the old pension scheme was implemented so that your morale remains high.
The Chief Minister said that you all did a lot of work in Corona, many people lost their lives in this epidemic, yet you all stood firm and worked in solidarity. As a result, the management of Chhattisgarh during the epidemic was appreciated all over the country. During this, we also took care of the families of those who lost their lives due to Corona. Showing sensitivity towards such families, the government abolished the time limit for the exemption of compassionate appointment.
The Chief Minister said that many states cut salaries during the Corona period, but our government did not deduct the salary. I had bluntly told my officers that there would be no deduction from the salary at all.
    It is noteworthy that a historic decision has been taken by the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel to restore the old pension scheme in place of the new pension scheme in the state. About 3 lakh government servants of the state will get benefit from this decision. Chief Minister Shri Baghel was decorated with Pension Drishta Samman by the Federation.
