Raipur, 07 October 2021. Wildlife Conservation Week was celebrated at Nandanvan Jungle Safari Nava Raipur under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Shri P.V. Various programs were organized under the guidance of Narsing Rao and Director cum Divisional Forest Officer Mrs. M. Marsibella.
Under this, a rally was taken out on October 2 for public awareness about forest and wild animals. Similarly, on October 3, a quiz competition was organized among the tourists visiting Jungle Safari, in which 180 tourists involved were rewarded with gifts. In this episode, on October 4, a painting competition was organized for the students studying in different primary to higher secondary schools of villages Upparwara, Pacheda, Bhelwadih, Khandwa and Kurru adjoining the jungle safari. 300 school students from class VI to VIII participated in it. Assistant Director Nandanvan Jungle Safari Shri Abhay Kumar Pandey said that in this painting competition, Shri Sahil Dhruv from Government Pre-Secondary School Upparwara stood first, Kumari Yamini Sahu stood second and Kumari Mansi Yadu stood third.
Under the Wildlife Protection Week, an essay and slogan competition was organized on the subject of human wildlife co-existence on October 5, out of 150 children involved, Kumari Kalpana stood first, Chandrakant Sahu in second place and Kumari Bhagwati Sahu in third place. In this episode, a program of quiz competition related to wildlife was kept on 6th October. 130 children participated in it. In the competition, Gulshan Sahu got first place, Nitish Harvansh got second place and Kumari Satya Dhruv got third place. On this occasion, all the children participating in the competition every day were given a tour of Jungle Safari and Nandanvan Zoo on 7th October.
