A woman died in a road accident in the capital Raipur on Sunday. The woman in question was hit by a truck while riding a bike with her husband, after which the woman got trapped in the wheel of the truck. After this, the truck dragged the woman for a long distance due to which she died on the spot.
The woman had come with her husband to meet her brother-in-law. While returning home this accident happened near Santoshi Nagar. At present, Tikrapara police has reached the spot and arrested the accused driver. The woman’s husband suffered minor injuries. Hit from behind, dragged for 50 meters.
This entire incident happened in front of Shubham Mart in Santoshi Nagar, Old Dhamtari Road, Raipur. 34 year old Savanna Bai Dhruv had come with her husband Raman Dhruv to meet her brother-in-law. The woman’s husband Raman works as a laborer in the vegetable market. After meeting on Sunday afternoon, both were returning from Changorabhatha towards their home in Devpuri. Meanwhile, a 14 wheeler truck came at high speed from Santoshi Nagar Chowk.
The truck hit the bike riding couple hard from behind. Due to this collision, the balance of the bike got disturbed and both of them fell down, during this the woman came under the rear wheel of the truck. In this accident, the woman’s saree got stuck in the wheel of the truck. After this, the truck dragged the woman on the road for 50 meters. The road was soaked in blood.
This accident was so painful that after the woman’s body got stuck in the wheel, it was badly crushed and traces of blood also started appearing on the road. After the incident, there was a long traffic jam on the road due to the people present. Due to which the police had to struggle hard to clear the way. Truck driver resident of Bhanupratappur
This truck is from Bhanupratappur. This truck was being driven by Devsai, a resident of Bhanupratappur. Police have arrested the accused truck driver from the spot. The body has also been sent to the hospital for postmortem. Tikrapara police is taking further action in this matter.
