This has encouraged entrepreneurship and self-reliance of local rural women. Manmati Potai, who works in the same Gothan, told that the women of self-help groups in Gothan have strengthened their economic condition by joining the construction of food processing unit, cow dung paint and paver blocks. In this sequence, a total of 90 women are employed in the food processing unit. Apart from processing Kodo rice, black rice, brown rice, red rice, women are making 5 types of cookies, including Kodo kutki related to millets, mahua, jaggery ragi, tamarind biscuits etc. Along with this, ragi flour, tikhur powder, honey, processed poha, Mushroom production is also manufactured. In the last one year, processed food worth Rs 15 lakh was sold by women from this centre, in which they got a profit of Rs 6 to 7 lakh.
