The weather suddenly changed on Thursday amid the break in monsoon in Chhattisgarh. It was sunny in Raipur till 3 pm, but after that it started raining heavily with strong wind in some areas of the capital. After some time the sun also came out. The Meteorological Department says that there was no possibility of rain. This rain is occurring due to the passing of western disturbance and local effects. Meteorologist HP Chandra said that there was no system of monsoon. This rain is happening due to convection. Due to continuous increase in temperature, air rises, forming clouds and causing rain. There is no thunder in this.
On the other hand, the temperature of the state is continuously increasing. The day’s temperature was recorded at 38 degrees in Tilda. The minimum temperature recorded in Narayanpur was 19.4 degrees. The temperature in Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balodabazar, Janjgir and Raigarh districts also crossed 35 degrees. Similar weather will continue for the next four days. According to meteorologist HP Chandra, there will be an effect of heat on Thursday also. Monsoon will completely withdraw from the state by October 15. Rainfall 7% less than average.
Meteorologist HP Chandra said that the monsoon season runs from June 1 to September 30. According to the data till September 30, the state has recorded 7 percent less rainfall than the average. The average rainfall recorded in Chhattisgarh was 1061.3 mm, while 1142.1 mm rainfall was recorded in the state this monsoon season. Meteorologist said that 7 percent rainfall is less, but it will be considered normal. More rainfall in the districts of South and Central Chhattisgarh.
According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, some districts of South and Central Chhattisgarh have received more rainfall than normal. Among these, Mungeli district has recorded 39 percent more rainfall. Similarly, 27 percent rainfall has been recorded in Baloda Bazar and 23 percent rainfall has been recorded in Raipur district. In two districts of South Chhattisgarh i.e. Bastar, Bijapur and Sukma, 29 percent more rainfall has been recorded.
Less rain in the districts of Surguja division
One district each of Bastar and Bilaspur divisions has received less than average rainfall. Surguja district of North Chhattisgarh has recorded 55 percent less rainfall. Similarly, there has been 38 percent less rainfall in Jashpur, 22 percent in Korea and 20 percent less rainfall in Korba. 22 percent less rainfall was recorded in Dantewada district of Bastar division.
