Take action on the property of chit fund companies in other states, the
police should show strictness on crimes related to women and children,
soon to prevent crimes against women, women patrol PCR vehicles will be started
by strengthening the information system and stopping the crime before it happens. Make an effort to
start a two-day Collector-SP conference under the chairmanship of Chief Minister

Addressing the two-day Collector and SP conference at New Circuit House in Raipur today, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the Collectors and SPs of all the districts should keep a close watch on law and order. He told the police officers that there should be visible policing and while preventing crimes, do not take action only at small level and execute concrete action plan by not giving statistics.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Subrata Sahu, DGP Shri Ashok Juneja, Divisional Commissioner and IG Police and Collectors and SPs of all districts are present in the conference.
In the beginning of the conference, Chhattisgarh DGP Shri Ashok Juneja briefed the Chief Minister on the crime situation in the state. Shri Juneja briefed the Chief Minister in detail about the action taken on chit fund companies. It is worth mentioning that the return of chit fund amount to the investors is a matter of top priority of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. However, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed displeasure over the slow action in the cases of chit fund and directed to take swift action against the chit fund companies. The Chief Minister directed that chit fund companies should take action for attachment of properties in other states and get them to be attached at the earliest in such cases through courts. It is worth noting that due to the efforts of the state government, taking strict action against the chit fund companies, an amount of about Rs 40 crore has been returned to the investors.
Giving instructions, the Chief Minister said that a strict vigil should be kept on the narcotics coming from within the state and from neighboring states and their smuggling should be rooted out. The Chief Minister said that the police should take strict action to root out the drug network and for this, necessary coordination should be done with the neighboring states at every level. The Chief Minister also directed that he should ensure to take action by reaching the source of such cases and not only take immediate action in the violent incidents caused by the consumption of intoxicants but also reach to the root of the drug addiction.
He asked all the districts in a stern tone that why intoxicants are easily available. The Chief Minister has said that strict action should be taken so that there is no availability of intoxicants. In the review meeting, the Chief Minister has also directed the SPs of all the districts that strictest action should be taken against online gambling.
While reviewing the prevention of crimes against women, Chief Minister Shri Baghel directed that the police should take strict action on crimes related to women and children. He said that on crimes against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the victim should be provided aid money expeditiously and also take swift action on the incidents of knife-pelting. He directed the SPs of all the districts that such incidents should not happen at all and adopt the policy of zero tolerance with the criminals. While directing the SPs of all the districts to focus on visible policing, the Chief Minister said that all the SPs should themselves go on night patrol. The Chief Minister said that women patrolling PCR vehicles would soon be started in the state to check crimes against women. The Chief Minister has instructed everyone that the officers should work cautiously to maintain peace and order in the state.
