Raipur: Vinay Kumari will invest Rs 1 lakh received in the first installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in farming: Nandini women self-help group earning more than one lakh rupees in vermi compost and stationery work

Raipur, 13 June 2021. The villagers of the new district Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi are also ahead in taking benefit of the schemes of the state government. These rural women are becoming self-reliant with the help from government schemes. Today, Mrs. Vinay Kumari of Andhiyarkhor Bargaon of Gaurela block of this district told Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the virtual program of inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan that she has got the benefit of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Vinay Kumari told that 635 quintals of paddy had been sold on the support price, as the first installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, he got an amount of one lakh 4 thousand rupees. They will use it for farming. Mr. Darbari Lal Baiga of Devargaon in Gaurela district told that he used to cultivate paddy in his field, this time he has decided to replace paddy with Kodo. Its seeds are getting from the Agriculture Department.
Shanti Maravi of Nandini Mahila Self-Help Group of Bariumrao village of Pendra district, which produces vermi compost, told that 153.8 kg of vermi compost was produced by her group. He has got 51 thousand 238 rupees from the sale of Vermi Compost. He also told that stationery work is also being done by his group. Registers and files are created by group. They sold stationery items worth 3 lakh 17 thousand, in which they got a profit of 50 thousand 250 rupees. He thanked the Chief Minister for the schemes being run for women in village-village. The Chief Minister said that the rural women of Chhattisgarh are taking benefits of the schemes. They are showing confidence. Women are also doing business and becoming financially strong. It is the effort of the state government that every woman of Chhattisgarh should become skilled.
Nervous Bai Kevara of Adi Shakti Kiran Women Self-Help Group of village Dongria of Marwahi block, informed that under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, her group is planting saplings of fruit trees like Jamun, Jackfruit, Guava in 4.04 acres. So far 195 saplings have been planted and more saplings will be planted. The Chief Minister said that under this scheme, if the plants survive after a year, they will get incentive amount at the rate of Rs.10,000 per acre for three years. After that when the fruits will come, They will also earn extra profit by selling them. Mrs. Mangli Bai Baiga of Salhetoli of Pendra block said that she has got forest rights recognition letter on half hectare of land. The Chief Minister asked him what would he do with the land he had got the right to? Mangli Bai told that she will sow koto-kutki on the ground. The Chief Minister told Shri Darbari Lal that the farmers who are taking other crops instead of paddy. They will get input subsidy of Rs 10 thousand per acre under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Mr. Baghel told him that he would get a higher rate for Kodo than for paddy. The support price of Kodo is Rs 3,000 per quintal. It is noteworthy that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, free seeds are being distributed to 723 farmers of Baiga and Scheduled Tribes for cultivation of Kodo in 300 hectares. Class 8th student of Government High School Pendra Muskan Sonwani told that he has got the permanent caste certificate. He thanked the Chief Minister for which will be of great use to him in future. The Chief Minister wished him all the best for a bright future.
