Professor Ravi R. Saxena, Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Horticulture and Forestry University, Sankara, Patan Durg paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residential office here this evening.
During the discussion with Vice Chancellor Professor Saxena, the Chief Minister stressed on the need to encourage the cultivation of specific fruits and vegetables grown block-wise in the state, and to make the latest farming techniques and research work available to the farmers. The Chief Minister said that the university should take the initiative to start skill development courses to increase productivity and farmers’ income and capacity development in this area, so that maximum number of farmers and university students can benefit.
