Governor inaugurated Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha program by lighting the lamp
Raipur, 09 November 2022,Governor Ms. Uike attended the inauguration of the five-day sacred story program of Shri Shiv Mahapuran organized in the capital Raipur today. The Governor said that listening to the story of Shiv Mahapuran is an occasion of good fortune for all. He expressed his happiness to be a part of the programme. He said that the messages of our Veda-Purana ancient texts and the teachings given by the saints-Mahatmas show us the way to walk on the right path. He thanked the famous storyteller Pt. Pradeep Mishra ji for coming to Chhattisgarh and reciting the holy story of Mahapuran here. On this auspicious occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya, Chairman of Gauseva Commission Mahant Shri Ramsunder Das, MLA, Shri Satyanarayan Sharma, Shri Vikas Upadhyay, Kuldeep Juneja and a large number of devotees were present.
Governor Ms. Uike, while addressing the gathering gathered for hearing the story, said that whenever unrighteousness and atrocities increased in our country from ancient times, saints guided in one way or the other. He said that by reciting such Vedas and Puranas and religious events, an atmosphere of harmony is created. He urged the people to keep the unity and integrity of our country strong by following the path shown by the saints and Mahatmas.
The Governor said that at the present time when people are going through various types of diseases and mental stress. In such a situation, listening to ancient Puranas and scriptures gives peace and concentration to our mind. He told that in relation to Shiva Purana, it is believed that whoever worships Lord Shiva, or recites this Shiva Purana or gets it done or listens to the story of Shiva Purana with full devotion and devotion, Lord Shiva blesses him. By simply listening to this holy story, one attains virtue. Wishes are fulfilled and all kinds of sufferings and sins of the person are destroyed.
The Governor said that Lord Shiva is always benevolent and welfare of the people. In the Puranas, Shiva has been described as an idol of sacrifice, penance, devotion and compassion. It is said that Shiva is a god who is easily pleased and gives desired results. This creation has been created only by the wish of Lord Shiva, so the person who worships him can get all the things of the world.
On this occasion, the Governor honored Pt. Pradeep Mishra ji by giving him a memento on his arrival in Chhattisgarh.
