Inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth about Rs 28 crore Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria has said that all the urban and rural areas of the state are being made fully equipped for the general public by the Chhattisgarh government. In these areas, basic needs are being completed on priority. Work is being done for all the basic facilities including roads to facilitate transportation, schools for education system, hospitals to improve health facilities, tap taps for pure drinking water. Dr. Dahria said this while addressing the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan program organized in Arang, Municipality of Raipur district today. Dr. Dahria inaugurated various development works costing about Rs.28 crores and performed Bhoomi Pujan of Municipality Arang area. These include inauguration of development works costing Rs.6 crore 43 lakh 11 thousand and Bhumi Pujan of development works costing Rs.21 crore 64 lakh 12 thousand. The works dedicated include community building, CC road, drain, school building, boundary wall and other construction works. Similarly, Bhoomipujan was done for other development works including bus stand, sports ground, toilet construction, CC road, cultural building, drain construction.
Urban Administration and Development Minister further said that all the basic works are being completed on priority for the convenience of the common people. Keeping in mind the convenience of the common people, a well-organized market is also being made. He said that in order to provide a conducive environment for teaching-learning in the school, a new basic school building with all facilities has been constructed at Arang at a cost of about 2.5 crores. Dr. Dahria told that this newly built school has 16 rooms, library hall, science lab, Compound safe campus and pure drinking water facility is being provided. The students are happy with the availability of a fully equipped school building. He informed that a new Swami Atmanand School building is being constructed at Baihar at a cost of about Rs.3 crore. Pipeline expansion work is being done for pure drinking water supply. Tree plantation is being done along the road for environmental protection and beautification. Municipality President Shri Chandrashekhar Chandrakar, Shri Komal Sahu, officials of various societies, councilors of urban bodies, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present in the program.
