    Raipur, 03 October 2020. Urban Administration and Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria today visited the under construction public development works in the capital Raipur at a cost of about Rs 1.25 billion. He instructed the officers to complete these works by the end of October. He said that on the occasion of State Foundation Day these public utility and public utility works are to be restored. 

      Urban Administration Minister Dr. Dahria also praised the Municipal Corporation and Raipur Smart City Limited, who were involved in completing the major projects related to public service at a quick pace with full responsibility during the inspection. It is worth mentioning that multi level parking located in the collectorate premises, interstate bus stand at Math Purana, renovation of Jawahar Bazaar in Malviya Road, Shahid Smarak School for urban poor children in Fafadih, six storey police office building near Police Kotwali and old pond beautification Various construction works including Raipur Municipal Corporation and Smart City Mission are being carried out. 

         Minister Dr. Dahria, who reached the inspection of ambitious project for rejuvenation of old pond, said that Raipur Smart City and Municipal Corporation Raipur are giving such a grand appearance to this historic pond, which is losing its utility due to pollution. The identity of the city will rejuvenate the life of this tank and as a tourist destination, the townsfolk will be able to spend their time here with their family. During this, Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar, while referring to the recent efforts made for water purification, has been given various projects of nature conservation through Boating, Pathways, attractive fountains, play-zones for children and intensive plantation. Made them aware of the action to be taken in phases. 

    Minister Dr. Dahria praised the project and said that it is important in the direction of conservation of ponds. He said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, initiatives are being taken in the direction of conservation and promotion of all the ponds. He said that it is being ensured that polluted water and solid waste do not flow into the ponds and water from the drains going to the ponds is poured into the ponds only after purification. He made STP near old pond The officials have been instructed to expedite the work by selecting the new agency, which has separated the work agency from unnecessary delay.

          During this inspection tour, the minister inquired in detail about the three English medium schools being prepared in the city of Dahria. Municipal Corporation Commissioner and MD of Smart City Limited Shri Saurabh Kumar informed that hundreds of children of needy families can get the benefit of education in English language with modern resources, for this Shaheed Smarak School Fafadih, R.D. Tiwari School Amapara, B.P. The priest school Raja Talab is being rejuvenated under the Smart City Mission. Under this, modern labs, modular furniture, high quality doors and windows, computer labs, libraries, dining arrangements for children’s lunches, landscaping, open theater giving the entire building an attractive appearance while preparing the playground is. Minister Dr. Dahria gave school children high quality, 

          The minister also inspected the multi-storey parking complex under construction near Dr. Dahria Collectorate and expressed confidence that the completion of this complex will remove the chaos and traffic bottlenecks caused by parking of vehicles on the roads. During this time, the minister also visited the Jawahar Bazaar complex, where he met the traders and inquired about their needs. Instructions were given to the officers to complete the ongoing works in the upper floor, parking in Jawahar Bazaar very quickly. He also inspected the under construction police office building near Kotwali and asked to provide it a public utility as soon as possible. During the tour, Dr. Dahria also inspected the access road of the inter-state bus stand and instructed to complete the remaining works of the fully equipped bus stand soon. 

    Municipal Corporation Commissioner and MD of Raipur Smart City Shri Saurabh Kumar, Additional Managing Director Mr. Prabhat Malik, General Manager (Technical) Shri S.K. Sundarani MIC Member Shri Sundar Jogi and officials of the concerned project were present.
