Urban Administration and Development and Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahriya performed Bhoomipujan of 132/33 KV sub-station to be constructed at a cost of Rs.30 crore 12 lakh in village Gullu of Arang development block of Raipur district here today. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this sub-station is important for the area. On its completion, lakhs of domestic and agricultural consumers of about 200 villages of the surrounding area including Gullu will be benefited. Once the power sub-station is built, further industrial development will get a boost in Arang and Mandir Hasaud. Dr. Dahria said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, people-friendly works are being done fast in Chhattisgarh. He said that power companies are continuously supplying electricity to the consumers of the state. Work is also being done at a fast pace to improve the electrical infrastructure. Dr. Dahria asked the officials of the Energy Department to complete the construction of the new sub-station soon.
While wishing the people on Durga Navami and Dussehra, Minister Dr. Dahria said that people are being benefited from various public welfare schemes of the state government. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount is being transferred directly to the farmers in their bank accounts. The amount is also being transferred to the agricultural landless laborers in their bank accounts. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cattle farmers, Gauthan committees and women self-help groups are being benefitted. New tehsils, revenue circles and new districts have been formed so that the general public does not have to go far for official work. Schemes like Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic, Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme, Dai-Didi Clinic are being operated. Due to this, health facilities are easily accessible to the people in their localities and haat markets. Art and Culture of Chhattisgarh State, Work is being done to preserve and promote sports and traditions. To give impetus to Chhattisgarhi sports, Chhattisgarhia Olympic Games are starting in the state from 6th October. On this occasion, District President Arang Mr. Khilesh Devangan, Mr. Komal Sahu, officials of Zilla Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and Gram Panchayats and public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
