Raipur 07 December 2020. A meeting of the State Level Approval Committee constituted for the implementation of the self-reliant Bharat Abhiyan Scheme was organized at the Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary through video conferencing, the remaining members of the approval committee Finance Department – Agriculture Department – Skill Development Department, Additional Chief Secretary of Village Industries Department, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Registrar of National Institute of Technology, The Director of Livelihood Mission, District Development Manager NABARD, National Skill Development Corporation Delhi, Deputy General Manager of State Level Bankers Committee and Regional Director of National Cooperative Development gave necessary guidance regarding the scheme. Shri Jain has instructed selected micro industries to start production soon. Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingwa gave detailed information.
It was decided in the meeting that training, technology, market and financial assistance will be made available for the promotion of self-help groups, cooperative societies, unorganized small food processing industries working in the field of food processing under the self-reliant India campaign. For this, micro industries will be promoted on the theme of ‘one district-one product’. Gem / Jelly in Raipur district, Poha in Balodabazar-Bhatapara-Dhamtari-Rajnandgaon, Chironji processing in Gariaband, Milk products and milk powder in Mahasamund, Durg-tomato, Kabirdham-jaggery, Balod-ginger, Bemetara-papaya and tomato, Bilaspur- Fish production, Korba and Bijapur-Mahua, Raigad and Mungeli-tomato, Janjgir-Champa-rice based snacks, Jagdalpur-Imli, Dantewada-mango, Sukma-jowar, Kodo, Kutki, Narayanpur-Harra / Bahera, Kondagaon-cashew, Kanker -Citaphal, Surguja-Litchi, Jashpur-Chai, Surajpur-Turmeric, Balrampur-Peanut, Korea-Tomato, Processing of various products of sitaphal will be done in Gorella Pandra Marwahi district. In Chhattisgarh state, 2594 micro industrial units have been selected under self-reliant India (Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Upgradation Scheme). The meeting has identified Indira Gandhi Agricultural University as a technical institute for the implementation of the scheme. A budget proposal of seven crore 22 lakh 72 thousand was also approved for implementation in the plan in 2020-21.
