Inauguration of development works worth Rs 204.84 crore in Nava Raipur

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah launched the “People for People” campaign at the new Vidhan Sabha complex under construction in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he inaugurated various development works including railway station, smart road, parking and smart school at a cost of Rs 204.84 crore under the Smart City Scheme. On this occasion, the program was presided over by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Saw and Shri Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Sports Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Kiran Dev, Purandar Mishra, Indrakumar Sahu, Moti Lal Sahu and other public representatives and senior officials were present in the program.
One lakh saplings will be planted
More than one lakh big trees of local species will be planted in the “People for People” program under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign by Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Currently, more than 21,000 peepal trees have been planted. The goal of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar is that a peepal tree should be visible wherever one stands in the city.
Regarding the Peepal tree, Lord Shri Krishna has said in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita that “Among the trees, I am the Peepal.” The Peepal tree is a tree that is more than 100 years old and provides life-giving air for 24 hours. Under the program, more than 2000 common people have become participants by using the facility of virtual adoption in “People for People” under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign through a mobile app to connect the youth and for public convenience.
Railway Station, Smart Road, Parking
The railway line laid for connectivity to other cities from Nava Raipur Atal Nagar will have the facility of a railway station in the middle of the city. This station has been built at a cost of Rs 75 crore. The work of construction of 4 railway stations is being done by the Nava Raipur Development Authority. Smart roads and other necessary infrastructure have been constructed in about 5.3 km in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar at a cost of Rs 35.25 crore. Apart from 100 buses, parking facility for 148 cars, taxis and about 250 two-wheelers has been developed at a cost of Rs 23.12 crore.
World class smart school
A higher secondary school has been built in Rakhi village to provide world class smart educational system and a large multi-purpose auditorium at a cost of Rs 18 crore. This will provide world class educational environment to more than 1200 children. A building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore to provide quality education to the children of economically weaker families. 950 students will be benefited in this school. Primary and secondary schools have been upgraded in 11 villages of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar at a cost of Rs 10.35 crore, which will provide better educational environment to around 4300 school children.
For the development of water bodies in the land enrichment and plantation
horticulture work, water enrichment, revival of drains, ponds and plantation work has been done near the ministry at a cost of Rs 16 crore. Apart from this, necessary work and construction of new ponds and plantation work has been done at a cost of Rs 16.12 crore to increase the ground water level by developing natural streams of rain water.
