Reacting to the Union Budget 2024-25, the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Shri Vijay Sharma, described the budget as development-oriented, inclusive and public welfare. He appreciated the provisions made in various sectors and called it important for the development of the state as well as the country.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma welcomed the provisions made in the budget in the field of Home Department, Panchayat and Rural Development. He said that the amount allocated for infrastructure development, drinking water supply and sanitation projects in rural areas will improve the rural standard of living. He also appreciated the provisions made in the budget in the field of technical education and employment. He said that the establishment of new higher education institutions will provide quality education and employment opportunities to the youth. Internship to one crore youth in 500 top companies in 5 years, the step to train and retrain the youth under Skill India will increase technical efficiency in the country. Expressing happiness over the provisions made in the budget in the field of science and technology, he said that the steps taken to encourage artificial intelligence and other modern technologies will make the country advanced in the technical field. He said that the fund established to encourage research and innovation will give impetus to new discoveries and inventions.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma said that this time in the budget, focus has been given on agriculture, employment, social welfare, urban development, energy security, poor, women, farmers and youth. This budget will play an important role in the development of the state along with the country and will promote improvement and progress in all areas.
