Rural Industrial Park is strengthening the foundation of rural entrepreneurship,
livelihood opportunities are being created in villages, women empowerment is getting a boost, the
products prepared by the group are getting market from C-Mart

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is engaged in realizing Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of Gram Swaraj. In Chhattisgarh, where farmers are getting fair price for their crops from the schemes of the government, livelihood opportunities are also being created in the villages through Gauthan and Rural Industrial Parks. Rural entrepreneurship has got a boost from the rural industrial park being prepared in Gauthan for livestock in the villages. 300 RIPAs are being operated in the state. Due to which women are getting empowered. C-marts have also been opened at district headquarters and divisional headquarters for the sale of finished products in Gothans, due to which these products have got a big market.
Along with women groups, youth are also getting employment from RIPA
On one side of Rural Industrial Park where women groups are being added. So on the other hand there are youth who want to start their own business and they do not have enough space. They are getting a place to work in these industrial parks built in Gothans. In the first phase, 2-2 RIPAs are being prepared in 7 development blocks of Raigarh district. In Gauthans, works like vermi compost making, community farm, fish farming, poultry farming, goat farming are being conducted by the groups. Fabrication, sewing unit, aluminum fabrication, mushroom production as well as oil, flour, mini rice mill, cow dung paint manufacturing, cow dung pots, Diyas etc. are also being prepared. Training is also being provided to the people associated with it and loans are also being made available through various schemes. Many of these activities are being done by the youth of the local level. The objective of RIPA is to promote rural entrepreneurship, so that people become self-reliant and get more and more livelihood opportunities at the local level.
Products are being sold in C-Mart
The products prepared in Gauthan and Ripa are being sold through C-Mart. Here Sawai grass products prepared in Dharamjaygarh, pottery made from Lalunga, lac products prepared in Gharghoda as well as locally prepared home products like pickles, papad, badi are sold. Through C-Mart, a market has also been created for the products of Gauthans. During Holi, herbal gulal was specially prepared in Gauthan, which was in great demand.
