Raipur 24 December 2020.  Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari, the four emblems of Chhattisgarh, Yela has to be saved … This statement is now settled in the tongue of every Chhattisgarh. Steps taken by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to save the ancient culture of the villagers and revive economic prosperity through Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria has also started a new initiative following the same path. He has given instructions to use cow dung prepared from cow dung as a bonfire in the Gothans to cool off. During the cold days in the civic bodies across the state, bonfires are lit at square-intersections to protect common citizens from cold. So far, dry wood has been used. While the use of wood in the bonfire promotes tree harvesting, the burning of wood at the busiest square-intersections also spreads smoke and pollution. While this initiative of Minister Dr. Dahria will curb the cutting of trees, along with prevention of pollution, environmental protection will also be promoted. The use of cow wood as an alternative to fuel will also save lakhs of rupees to urban bodies and create new opportunities for income and employment of women self-help groups. At the same time, along with pollution prevention, environmental protection will also be promoted. The use of cow wood as an alternative to fuel will also save lakhs of rupees to urban bodies and create new opportunities for income and employment of women self-help groups. At the same time, along with pollution prevention, environmental protection will also be promoted. The use of cow wood as an alternative to fuel will also save lakhs of rupees to urban bodies and create new opportunities for income and employment of women self-help groups.

Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria has directed the officials of Urban Administration Department that cow-wood prepared in Gothan under urban bodies of the state should be used as a bonfire in cold. He has said that the cost and price of cow-wood is less than that of wood. This will reduce the felling of trees and will also get rid of the smoke emanating from the wooden bonfire being burnt at the square. Minister Dr. Dahria has also given instructions to promote the construction of cow-wood in Gothans operated in urban body areas. He told that the government of Chhattisgarh is giving rice to the poor for one rupee and buying cow dung from cow owners for two rupees. This has increased the respect of animals and cattle rearers in the state. The use of cow dung and purchased cow dung from Gothan in vermicompost along with the construction of cow-wood will also benefit women self-help groups.
Cow-
cow dung cubes are made in the shape of wood, cow-wood . Through the Gothan, the shape of cow dung is changed to the shape of wood. Like trees, dried cow dung ranging from one to three feet in length is called cow-wood. Amunan is made from cow dung of two and a half kg and one feet long cow wood. Which costs around 8 rupees.
Burns bonfire in 400 hundred places
Generally, in the areas falling under the urban body area, bonfires are lit at the square-intersections for the common citizens in view of cold and cold wave. More than 400 hundred places of firewood are burnt. This number keeps on decreasing according to cold and cold wave. Flames are burnt at an estimated 51 places in Raipur Municipal Corporation area. The bonfire is arranged in 7 places in Dhamtari Municipal Corporation, 16 in Bilaspur, 12 in Korba, 15 in Raigad, 12 in Ambikapur, 4 places in Jagdalpur. Local bodies also arrange for bonuses in municipal and municipal panchayat areas under the urban bodies. The total number of municipal corporations, municipalities and nagar panchayats under the urban body in the state is 166. Naturally, the use of cow wood in large numbers as a bonfire will reduce the use of tree wood.
With the
increase in chill throughout the state , it will be useful in the creation of clean environment , but arrangements are made to burn the bonfires at the intersections, but most of the chowk or intersection is located in the middle of the city. In these squares, huge amounts of carbon are emitted by burning wood. During the cold days, this wood stops at a distance as smoke mist. It also increases the risk of spreading pollution. Not only this, the wood bonfire very quickly turns into ashes. In comparison to all these, there are many benefits of cow wood. Being eco-friendly, its smoke is not very harmful to the environment. It may be available at a lower price than the cost of cutting trees and dry wood. Its bonfire does not turn into ashes for long.
