Raipur, 03 August 2021. Transport Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar inspected the under construction Driving Training and Research Institute (IDTR) at Nava Raipur. It is being constructed at village Tendua of Nava Raipur at a cost of Rs 17 crore.
Transport Minister Shri Akbar gave strict instructions to complete 100 percent construction work of Driving Training and Research Institute within next 15 days. He said that this Driving Training and Research Institute would not only promote thorough training in driving, but would also prove useful in research of possible causes in the control of accidents in the field of road safety, as well as providing training to people after training from the institute. More and more employment opportunities will be available.
It is worth mentioning that for the construction of Driving Training and Research Institute, Chhattisgarh Government has allotted 20 acres of government land in village Tendua of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Here the institute will be run by the selected agency Maruti Suzuki India Limited. For this, an MoU has been duly signed between the Transport Department, Government of Chhattisgarh and the selected agency M/s Maruti Suzuki India Private Limited. Transport Commissioner Shri Topeshwar Verma, Additional Transport Commissioner Shri Dipanshu Kabra, Joint Transport Commissioner Shri Devvrat Sirmaur and Assistant Transport Commissioner Shri Shailabh Sahu and other departmental officers were present on the occasion.
