Raipur: Transgenders won the hearts of the audience in an evening program “Saanjh”

Artists danced on Chhattisgarhi, Hindi and classical songsKathak trio of transgenders, Paran and Thumri mesmerized 

Chhattisgarh’s third gender (transgender) artists won the hearts of the audience with their talent in a cultural program in the evening. The artists of this group gave entertaining and heart touching renditions of Chhattisgarhi, Hindi and classical songs. The audience appreciated the talent of the transgenders. The artists got a lot of applause from the audience.
In the evening, in the name of third gender artists, a beautiful evening was organized by the third gender artists in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Government of Chhattisgarh. This program was started last year under the guidance of Culture Director Mr. Vivek Acharya. In Chhattisgarh, the talent of Kinnar community is getting priority at the national level on the evening stage. In the evening, the chief guest of the program was former mayor Raigarh Madhu Bai of third gender group. The program was presided over by Shri Vivek Acharya, Director, Culture Department. Vidya Rajput thanked Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat on behalf of third gender group for the evening program organized to give opportunity to artists of third community.
Third gender group artists enthusiastically participated in the programme. The program was started with Maa Kali Vandana and dance by the artists of Pratima Group from Janjgir Champa. After this, the artists of Swaragini Group forced the people to dance by giving their presentation in Suageet, Karma Geet, Dadriya and Holi songs. Presentation of Shiv Vandana in Kathak was given by Mr. Yuvraj Bagh of Raipur and his companions. Along with this, he won the hearts of people with his style in Kathak Tihai, Paran and Thumri.
Kanta Eli Mahanand of Durg presented classical dance. An attractive and musical program based on the life of Kinnar was presented by Pratima Dance Group. On this occasion, officers of the police department, A.I.G. Mr. Sanjay Singh, Joint Director of Public Relations Department Mr. Alok Dev, Joint Director of Social Welfare Department Mr. Nadeem Kazi, Deputy Director Culture and Official Language Mr. Umesh Mishra, President of Tribal Arts Council Mr. Naval Shukla, Vidya Rajput from third gender group, senior photo Dignitaries including Graph Dipendra Dewan were present.
