Raipur, 24 October 2020. The state government has fixed the storage limit of onion in Chhattisgarh. According to the notification issued by the Food Department in this regard, the traders of the state will be able to keep a stock of up to 250 quintal and the commission agent 20 quintal onion. The limit of stock limit in the state will remain in effect till December 31, 2020. This decision has been taken by the state government to provide onion to the common people at a reasonable price in view of the rising price of onions in the state. Earlier, instructions have been issued by the government to collectors regarding onion availability and market prices. Onion availability and market prices are being monitored in various districts. Also, investigation is being done by the Food Department in various establishments.
