The Minister of Tourism and Religion Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu visited the presentation of a detailed project report of Chandkuri out of the 9 sites selected in the first phase of the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit. He has done beautification work in view of the natural beauty of the temple of Mata Kaushalya and the ponds and ghats in Chandkuri, making the Jyoti Kalash Room attractive by giving it a special shape, so that more and more lamps can be lit in less space, Instructed to plant medicinal and fruitful saplings around the temple complex, leveling the gorge around the ghat and widening the bridge of the temple complex. Shri Sahu asked to inspect the site for tourism development works to be done in Rajim itself. He told the officials that only after inspecting the tourist places where development works are to be done, the construction work should be done keeping in mind the specialties, importance and need, so that there is no wastage of money and important facilities at low cost To expand.

It is noteworthy that a concept plan costing Rs 137 crore 45 lakh has been prepared by selecting 9 sites in the state for developing Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit in Chhattisgarh. There is a provision to develop world-class infrastructure for the convenience of tourists to these places under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Central Government. Selected sites include Sitamarhi-Harchauka District Korea, Ramgarh District Sarguja, Shivrinarayan District Janjgir-Champa, Turturia District Balodabazar, Chandkuri District Raipur, Rajim District Gariaband, Sihawa-Saptarishi Ashram District Dhamtari, Jagdalpur District Bastar and Ramram District Sukma. A provision of Rs 5 crore in the last financial year 2019-20 and Rs 10 crore in the current financial year 2020-21 has been made by the state government for the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit.
Minister Shri Sahu on Wednesday reviewed the work of Tourism and Religious Trust and Religion Department in his Raipur residence office. He asked to collect the list of all the religious places of Chhattisgarh and the fair and liquor to be held in those places, so that with the necessary repairing of those places keeping in mind the religious events, fair-shanty, festival, etc. on different occasions. There, an annual action plan can be chalked out for sanctioning grant money for works related to dharmasala, prasad distribution counter in temples and beautification. Secretary Tourism Mr. P. Ambalgan and Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Ms. Iftah Ara and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.

Minister Shri Sahu has set up tourist sites, mountains, waterfalls, reservoirs, places of historical and archaeological importance in various districts of the state for tourists, especially for children, to build gardens and swings, and paths for senior citizens etc. said. He said that keeping in mind the biodiversity and the natural beauty of those tourist places, draw and design so that they can attract tourists with natural beauty in their true form. He said that during the renovation and beautification of religious places, special care should be taken that recordings should be prepared by incorporating stories, music, hymns etc. related to that particular place so that tourists and devotees can get the specialty of those places.
