Raipur, 29 May 2020. The process of providing free food and food packets to the poor, workers from other places and destitute people is going on in all the districts of the state of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Free food and food packets were made available to one lakh 2 thousand 810 needy, laborers and destitute on 30 May in relief camps set up across the state to help the needy due to the lockdown due to corona infection. Masks, sanitizers and daily necessities are also being provided to the needy with the help of district administration, red crosses and voluntary organizations for prevention of corona infection. According to the report received from the districts on May 30, 5 thousand 118 masks and sanitizers, soap etc. have been distributed to the needy with the help of voluntary organizations.
It is noteworthy that so far 83 lakh 49 thousand 391 people have been provided free food and food packets in Chhattisgarh state through relief camps operated by the administration in the districts with the help of philanthropic institutions and donors. So far, 49 lakh 459 mask sanitizers and other materials have been distributed free of cost to the common man for the prevention of corona infection with the help of voluntary organizations.
On January 30, Janjgir-Champa district, with the help of government and social organizations, has been given free food and ration to the maximum 41,940 people, besides distributing masks and other materials to keep them safe from corona contagious disease. Similarly, 1519 in Sukma district, 773 in Rajnandgaon, 7449 in Raigad, 5346 in Bastar, 1454 in Kanker, 127 in Bijapur, 12775 in Jashpur, 11075 in Jashpur, 110 in Korea, 354 in Surajpur, 68 in Balod, 3630 in Kabirdham, 1996 in Balodabazar , 1107 in Dhamtari, 3283 in Durg, 2387 in Mahasamund, 3734 in Balrampur, 1544 in Korba, 3170 in Sarguja, 9679 in Bilaspur, 4350 in Raipur, 4350 in Kondagaon, 809 in Bemetra, 1235 in Gariaband and 199 in Mungeli.
