Raipur, 21 July 2020. In view of the overall activities undertaken by the Indian Red Cross Society in the last one year in the districts and efforts made for prevention of Novel Corona Virus (Kovid-19) infection in the last months and for the humanity and assistance to the affected people during the lockdown Three categories of awards have been announced by Raj Bhavan and Indian Red Cross Society State Branch Chhattisgarh Raj Bhavan Raipur. For these awards, proposals have been sought from the District Red Cross Society, Collector-cum-Chairman of all the districts of the state till 01 August 2020.
Secretary to the Governor and Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society State Branch, Mr. Sonamani Bora has informed that three awards will be given to the best districts in the first category, Rs. 01 lakh, Rs. 75 thousand and Rs. 50 thousand respectively. Similarly, awards of ten to ten thousand rupees will be given to five superior officers or superior district secretaries in the individual category. Similarly, the best volunteers will be given five prizes at the state level and each will be given a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each and at the district level, 50 volunteers will be given citations. Mr. Bora has stated that the entire activities carried out by the Indian Red Cross Society in the districts between July 2019 to July 2020 and efforts made to prevent infection of corona virus (Kovid-19) in the previous months and for those affected during lockdown Prizes will be given for the humanity and assistance made. Proposals have been sought from districts for this.
Shri Bora has told that brief information of districts under the best district category and information on activities done in a year in the districts, mainly notable activities done in the districts at various points mentioned in the review meetings held from time to time, specific The notable achievements made in the districts for prevention of infection of Kovid-19 under activities, remarkable work done by Red Cross Society during lockdown period and any other innovations can be sent. Proposals for the above three categories of awards have been invited through the District Red Cross Society. Personal category, in which maximum 02 nomination proposals of officer / district secretary and maximum 05 nomination proposals of volunteers have been invited, in which the personal and role of the applicant / proposed person will have to be mentioned in the activities prescribed for the district. There will be a write-up of a maximum of 1000 words under the best district category and a maximum of 500 words under both individual categories. A maximum of 10 photographs and a copy of paper cut can be attached in the above three categories. Nomination of individual category will be sent through the district with recommendation, however, advance copy of the self-attested proposal can also be sent to Raj Bhavan.
