Women making jam-jelly, pickle, teddy bear and black garlic in Ripa of Sambalpur village

Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme of Chhattisgarh government has started providing employment and self-employment to the villagers in the villages. Started with the aim of making villages the centers of production and making the villagers self-reliant, this scheme has now started bringing a positive change in the rural scenario. Through RIPA, the villagers have gathered their whole heart to change their economic and social condition.
The RIPA scheme of the Government of Chhattisgarh is actually a convergence of income-oriented activities conducted in Gothan built in villages under Suraji Gaon Yojana. Infrastructure and resources have been made available by the government for conducting income-oriented activities through RIPA in Gothans, which has helped the women and villagers of the group to conduct self-employment activities.
At present, more than 50 people are getting employment in the Rural Industrial Park operated in Sambalpur village of Mungeli district. Different groups are conducting different types of income generating activities there. Each group has also been provided training for conducting livelihood activities. Self-help groups in Ripa of village Sambalpur are preparing various products like jam-jelly, pickle, teddy bear, black garlic.
Mango, Lemon and Jackfruit Pickle
In Ripa, pickles are being made from mango, jackfruit and lemon by the Kaushal Mata Self Help Group since May 25. So far 270 kg of pickles have been prepared by 07 women and three men of the group, which will be marketed through Sea Mart after packaging. It is expected to earn about 11 thousand rupees from its sale. Special attention is being given to the quality of pickles.
Production of black garlic – beneficial for health
Black Garlic full of medicinal properties is being produced by Navyuvak Mandal Kaushal Mata Self Help Group in Ripa, Sambalpur. Black garlic is prepared by the group by keeping the garlic in a machine at a certain temperature for 15 days. Whose market price is about 600 rupees per kg. Black garlic full of medicinal properties is very beneficial for health. Its use helps in the control of sugar, heart disease, digestive diseases. Black garlic contains allicin, which helps to thin the blood and prevent heart blockage. The people of the group have been trained by national level trainers to prepare black garlic. The use of black garlic provides relief in leg pain and increases immunity.
Make over 200 teddy bears in ten days
The work of making teddy bears and cushions is being done by Jai Shivshakti group in Ripa, Sambalpur. More than 200 teddy bears have been made by the group in just 10 days, out of which 80 teddy bears have been sold and an income of about 4 thousand has been earned after deducting the expenses. The women of the group have also been given formal training for 15 days to make teddy bears. Jam, Jelly, Tomato Sauce, Aloe Vera Gel, Extract, Fruit Candy, Pomegranate Molasses, Chili Sauce, raw material of soap and shampoo, Jackfruit Big in Ripa by Jai Maa Durga self-help group, as well as manufacturing of jackfruit powder, also a lot of powder from peeled seeds. is being prepared, which is full of medicinal properties.
