Industry Department organizes “Udyam Samagam” at Bemetara
Raipur, 19 January 2021. One day workshop by Department of Commerce and Industry to promote food processing industries in Bemetra today “Udyam Samagam” was organized. MLA Bemetara Ashish Kumar Chhabra and MLA Bijapur Vikram Mandavi were present as special guests.
Agriculture Minister Choubey said that there is a lot of potential for setting up agro-based industries in the agriculture-based Bemetara district. Several provisions have been made by the state government to give maximum impetus to the fruits, flowers, vegetables and other food processing industries. The information of which is being given today through the workshop. Minister Choubey said that if the entrepreneurs want to set up their own industry in Bemetara district, like tribal-dominated districts, they will be subsidized by the government. This is a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs. He said that Chhattisgarh can become the largest industrial hub in the country. Chhattisgarh has a favorable climate for industries. The people here are hardworking. Water, minerals, energy and coal are available in plenty in Chhattisgarh. He said that in the month of September during the Corona crisis, Chhattisgarh collected 23 percent GST, which is a record in itself.
Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Lakhma said that a new industrial policy has been formulated by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. So that inclusive development of the state and youth can be self-sufficient. With a view to create industry, investment and employment opportunities in the state, a new industrial policy has been formulated under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, which is the best industrial policy of India. Mr. Lakhma said that we have seen the industrial policy of other states of the country, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, better than them is the industry policy of Chhattisgarh. Bemetra is a plains district, entrepreneurs who want to establish their industry here will get the benefit of subsidy like tribal-dominated Bastar. He said that the state government is developing Gowthan as a center of livelihood. Women self-help groups are being made self-sufficient by linking them to Gothan activities.
MLA Bijapur Mandavi said that the residents of Bemetara district will get the benefit of the enterprise meeting. Local youth will get self-employment by setting up industries in future. He congratulated the Department of Industries for organizing the workshop. MLA Ashish Chhabra said that Bemetara is a new district, there is immense scope of business here. Location has also been identified here for the industry. With the introduction of agro-based industries in Bemetara district, the situation of people will change.
Additional Director of Industries Department Praveen Shukla also addressed. General Manager of District Trade and Industry Center, Mr. Kamal Singh Meena said that a total of 118.41 hectare land has been got for the Food Park in each development block of the district. A plan is being prepared for the construction of a food park on 60 acres of land in the first phase in Gram-Chandnu, in which information was given in the workshop on allotment of land for food processing industries, process of setting up industries and rules. Prasanna Nimonkar from CITCON Raipur gave information about establishment of the industry through powerpoint presentation. Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, Additional Collector Sanjay Kumar Dewan, ASP Vimal Kumar Bais, besides the distinguished citizens including Banshi Lal Patel, Avnish Raghav, TR Janardhan, Lalit Vishwakarma were present in the workshop.
