Raipur. April 11, 2022. Chhattisgarh is going to get 12 National Awards on the occasion of National Panchayat Day this time as a result of efforts to strengthen rural economy in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. In this, for the Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award, in the district category, the district panchayat Kabirdham has been selected. At the same time, Patan and Surajpur have been selected for block category. Apart from this, various panchayats have also been selected for the award in village category and other categories. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated and extended his best wishes on this achievement of the state.
According to the letter issued by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, the National Panchayat Award is being organized on April 24 on the occasion of National Panchayat Day. The function will be held in the parish of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister will be present as the chief guest at the function. On this occasion, various gram panchayats and block and district panchayats across the country will be rewarded for their remarkable work and achievements. It is worth mentioning that in the last three years, many innovations have taken place in the state to strengthen the rural economy and empower the villages. In order to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of ‘Gram Swaraj’, Chhattisgarh Government is continuously making innovative efforts in many areas. In this episode, while Gauthans are being developed as Rural Industrial Parks, value addition work is being done with the purchase of forest produce and minor forest produce in the forest areas. Corona crisis Even during the period, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) was operated smoothly here. These efforts made across the state are also being appreciated at the national level.

Patan and Surajpur have been selected for Block category along with District Panchayat Kabirdham in district category for Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award. On the other hand, in the Gram Panchayat category, the awards will be given to the villages of Chhipli and Hardibhata of Dhamtari district, Chirmi of Koriya district, Parry of Balod district, Basdai of Surajpur district and Kejedah of Kabirdham district. Here, Bancharoda will be rewarded under Arang block of Raipur district in the Child Prednly Gram Panchayat Award category. Jevra of Durg district will be honored in the Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award category. On the other hand, Sarora under Tilda block of Raipur district has been selected for Nanaji Deshmukh National Gaurav Gram Puraskar.
