Thieves have been creating terror in the capital Raipur since Diwali. They are continuously committing thefts worth lakhs from houses one after the other across the city. This time the thieves have targeted the house of a property dealer in Mana police station area. Where the thieves broke the window at the back of the house and entered the bedroom. Then, Rs 21 lakh was stolen along with the cash and jewelery kept in the cupboard.
This entire matter is of Mana police station area. Surendra Sahu, resident of Siddhi Vinayak Colony, lodged an FIR on 18 November. In which he told that he works in property dealing. It was around 6 in the evening. He had gone for a walk in the nearby garden with his daughter and wife. He returned home after one and a half hour. So the main gate was locked. When he entered the bedroom, he saw that the window rod was broken. Gold and silver ornaments were also broken.
Apart from this, the entire stuff of the bedroom was scattered. The locks of the cupboard were also broken. The thief had stolen Rs 7 lakh in cash from a red bag kept inside the cupboard. Apart from this, the gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs kept in the cupboard, which included 4 necklace sets, bracelet, mangalsutra, ring, bangle, including cash and jewellery, had crossed the value of about Rs 21 lakh. After which the police has registered an FIR in the matter.
