In rural areas and inaccessible areas, complete preparation of bore mining has been done for drinking water. Giving information to media representatives through video conferencing from his residence Satnam Sadan, Public Health Engineering and Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar today said that under the Minimata Amrit Dhara Nal-Jal Yojana, 40 thousand 831 BPL families of the state were given free tap-water connection. has gone.
Minister Guru Rudrakumar informed that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, a list of 15 villages was called from all the MLAs for supply of drinking water in the state. Based on the list, 1230 tap-water scheme has been approved. Apart from this, 8 thousand new tubewells have been prepared for where borer will be required, including schools, Anganwadi and sub health centers. As per the requirement for boreh mining, private bore mining will also be supported, as well as running water supply is also being arranged in these institutions. He informed that preparations for 2 thousand boreholes have been made in Gothans constructed under the state’s ambitious scheme. He assured that the ground water level during the summers in the state is better than the previous year and a situation like drinking water crisis will not be created.
Minister Guru Rudrakumar informed that the group water supply scheme based on oil river is being started soon in the village Supebheda affected by kidney disease and six nearby villages will also be benefitted from this scheme. To benefit the people of Durg district Chandkhuri and 26 nearby villages, the Chandkuri water supply scheme costing 55.31 crore is under consideration for approval, as well as group water supply scheme has been started for 10 villages in Girudh Puridham and nearby areas. He informed that 1.87 lakh people are getting employment through handloom, silk, handicrafts and matikala boards related to village industries department. Employment has been provided to 40 thousand registered weavers through 12 thousand 600 looms in the state. The fabric prepared by these weavers is being supplied in various government departments. He said that over 2.80 lakh masks made from cotton and khadi clothing were supplied by women of self-help groups during the lockdown to avoid the corona epidemic. The process of making masks by the women of the group is going on continuously.
