The sale of meat and mutton will be completely banned in the Raipur Municipal Corporation area on Republic Day on January 26 and Mahatma Gandhi Nirvana Day on January 30. In compliance with the order issued by the Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government, orders have been issued in this regard by the Health Department of Raipur Municipal Corporation.
Raipur Municipal Corporation has issued an order to keep slaughter houses and all meat selling shops closed on 26 January and 30 January. If any shop is found selling meat on these two days, then along with confiscation, appropriate action will be taken against the concerned person. On Republic Day and Mahatma Gandhi Nirvana Day, health officers and sanitation inspectors of all zones of Raipur Municipal Corporation will ensure practical compliance of the order banning the sale of meat. For this, they have been directed to continuously supervise the meat shops in their respective zones.
