Raipur, 22 July 2024

While giving information about school education in the Question Hour in the Assembly today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the ratio of teachers and students in Chhattisgarh is better than the national ratio. He said that in the country there is one teacher for every 26 students, whereas in the state there is one teacher for every 21 students. Till now there were some irregularities in the posting of teachers. Due to which the shortage of teachers was being reflected. Due to these reasons, rationalization will be the first priority. In some schools where there is subject faculty, there are no teachers and where there is no subject faculty, there are teachers. At some places, there are much fewer teachers for students than the state ratio. At some places, there is one teacher for 4-5 students. Such schools are being identified for the process of rationalization and soon teachers will be posted in all schools. With this, teachers will be available in all schools and the level of education will become even better.

The Chief Minister also said that along with the arrangement of teachers, we are also working on infrastructure development.
It is noteworthy that the ratio of teachers and students in Chhattisgarh is better than the national average. After the rationalization process is completed, teachers will be available in all schools. The rationalization being done by the government will have a positive impact on the education system of the state and teachers will be available even in those schools where education is being affected due to lack of teachers.
