These things were said by the Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey while addressing the program organized on the occasion of the launch of the Environment Teerth Madkudweep Project in Mungeli district today. Governor Ms. Uike duly inaugurated the Madkudweep project of environmental pilgrimage and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state by offering prayers at the ancient Ganesh temple and performing Ganga aarti on the banks of river Shivnath. During this, he got information by observing Jyotirlingas and other archaeological sculptures found from the excavation in Madkudweep. Simultaneously, Governor Ms. Uike worshiped and planted a Peepal tree in the premises.
Governor Ms. Uikey while addressing the people present on the occasion of the launch of Madkudweep project of environment pilgrimage said that the development of human civilization has taken place only in the company of nature. The global pandemic of covid has alerted us to protect the environment, which shows that human behavior against nature can have dire consequences. We need to preserve the things given by nature for the coming generation, so that the concept of inclusive development remains sustainable. The Governor said that the Banyan, Peepal, Neem and Tulsi plants being planted here today have great importance from religious, economic and environmental point of view. You are all familiar with the beneficial effects of Neem and Tulsi. Due to the anti-phlegm properties of Tulsi during the Corona period, its drink greatly benefited the common people.
Governor Ms. Uike said that plastic is extremely harmful to nature. It does not get destroyed even in thousands of years and there are many such components in it which are harmful to the body. Plastic utensils give rise to many types of diseases. We should try to minimize the use of plastic and properly manage the used plastic. Replace polythene with alternative means like cloth, jute and paper bags, which are environment friendly. Governor Ms. Uike said that all the rivers of the country have to be kept clean by considering them as holy as Ganga. Rivers should be kept plastic free. At present, the environment and rivers are being harmed the most by plastic. Together we all have to take a common initiative in the direction of environmental protection so that the eternal rivers keep irrigating our existence by flowing continuously. On this occasion, he made the people present to read the resolution for cleanliness and protection of nature and surroundings and to make rivers plastic free.
Governor Ms. Uike visited the archaeological stone idols and Shri Ramashray Ashram hut to worship ancient Ashtabhuji Shri Ganesh ji
. Worshiping the ancient Ashtabhuji Shri Ganesh ji, prayed for happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the people of the state. On this occasion, he also visited the archaeological stone sculptures in the temple premises and the ashram hut of Sri Ramashraya (Harihar Kshetra Mandukya Island).
