Governor participated in the inauguration program of Anjaneya University
Raipur, 11 August 2023
The need of the hour is to equip the students with skills, knowledge and intelligence so that the students of Chhattisgarh can compete with the students studying in big cities outside. Efforts should be made that our students should not go to metro cities for higher studies but they should get same quality of courses, same infrastructure and same facilities in their own state.
Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan expressed this exclamation on the inauguration of Anjaneya University today. The Governor said that the need of the hour was to foster an environment where innovation flourishes. Universities should not be just a place to get degrees, but a place where students’ dreams are nurtured, possibilities are realized and the future is shaped. A university should not be just a collection of classrooms and laboratories. There should be a commitment to positive change by doing new research to improve the world and society.
The Governor said that there is a big challenge before us today. To think about the poor, backward and deprived people and to provide them opportunities for development by taking the benefits of the schemes of the government to them. He said that it is a matter of great pride for us that our country is the fifth largest economic power in the world and is moving towards becoming the third largest economic power under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
