Raipur, 16 August 2021. The new district to be formed by separating from the existing Rajnandgaon district will be known as Mohala-Manpur-Chowki. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has made this announcement on the request of a delegation that came to meet Rajnandgaon district today. The delegation expressed its gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for the decision of bifurcating Rajnandgaon district to form a new district, and urged that this new district should be known as Mohla-Manpur-Chowki. The delegation said that this decision taken in public interest for the creation of a new district is certainly commendable. With the coming into existence of the new district, Mohla, Manpur and Chowki area will develop rapidly. The delegation also submitted a memorandum regarding installation of high mast lights for the beauty of Sarva Samaj Ambedkar Bhawan and Chowk-intersections in Nagar Panchayat, Ambagarh Chowki, on which the Chief Minister assured to take immediate action.
It may be mentioned that on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has announced the formation of four new districts in the state. The delegation included President of District Central Cooperative Bank Rajnandgaon Mr. Nawaz Khan, Member of Rajgami Estate Rajnandgaon Mr. Ramesh Khandelwal, President of Nagar Panchayat Ambagarh Chowki Mrs. Vidya Ramesh Tamrakar, Vice President Mr. Ritesh Meshram, Councilor Mr. Ashok Verma, Mr. Vijay Yadav, Mrs. Sadhna Singh. , Former Councilor Shri Damodar Sharma, Shri Abdul Rafiq Khan, Shri Naresh Shukla and other dignitaries were present.
