Chhattisgarh government will give the difference in the price of paddy purchase to farmers in lump sum till 15th February. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting today. About 27 lakh farmers of the state will benefit from this. Chief Minister Shri Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works at Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district headquarters today. On this occasion, he also announced to name the irrigation electric pump assistance scheme for farmers as Dr. Khubchand Baghel Kisan Vidyut Sahayata Yojana. Chief Minister gifted development works worth Rs 137.41 crore to Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, which includes inauguration of 84 works worth Rs 47.87 crore and Bhoomi Pujan work worth Rs 89.54 crore.

Chief Minister Shri Sai performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of a district hospital in Sarangarh at a cost of Rs. 38 crore and a joint district office building to be built at a cost of Rs. 18.75 crore.  

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced allotment of land for setting up industry in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, widening of Sarangarh main road at a cost of 1.5 crore, 50-seater hostel building in Sariya, high-level rest house building construction in Sarangarh, upgradation of Kosir Primary Health Centre to Community Health Centre. The Chief Minister inspected the departmental stalls and provided assistance cheques and material to the beneficiaries under various government schemes.

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sarangarh has been my karmabhoomi for 20 years. Now as Chief Minister, I am continuously working to fulfill the responsibility of development of Chhattisgarh including Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. In the last one year, we have worked to fulfill the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has gained momentum. In the first cabinet meeting, 18 lakh houses have been approved. In the first phase, approval was given for construction of 8.47 lakh houses. Out of these, houses of many beneficiaries have been completed and now they are taking home entry. On the arrival of Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Chhattisgarh, he has approved 3 lakh 88 thousand additional houses. In the coming month of April, the state will get approval for 3 lakh more houses. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the work of survey of Awas Plus has also started in the state. The scope of eligibility for PM Awas has been increased. Now those who have two-wheelers, 2.5 acres of irrigated land or 5 acres of unirrigated land, and monthly income up to 15 thousand will also get housing. An online app has been launched to simplify the process of housing approval. Through this, any person can apply sitting at home. The state government is giving an amount of one thousand rupees per month to mothers and sisters under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He said that the mothers and sisters of Danasara of Sarangarh are getting Ram Mandir built with this amount.

The Chief Minister said that 5 lakh 62 thousand landless agricultural labourers will be benefited under Pandit Deendayal Bhumihin Krishi Shramik Yojana in the state. Prime Minister Shri Modi provided ownership cards to 65 lakh villagers of 50 thousand villages across the country. Through this, people residing in inhabited land in rural areas for many generations are getting the title deed. Ownership cards have been distributed to 61 thousand people in ten districts of Chhattisgarh. Work is being done to punish the culprits of the PSC scam. Due to this, the faith of the youth of the state has returned in the examination system.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that after 144 years, the coincidence of a complete Maha Kumbh has come. A huge Chhattisgarh Mandap has been built in four and a half acres in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh for the devotees of Chhattisgarh. There is a provision of free food and accommodation for the residents of Chhattisgarh here. Chief Minister Sai invited the people of the district to participate in the Maha Kumbh.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that we are continuously working to fulfill the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The state government is working to speed up development work from village to city. Paddy is being purchased at Rs 3100. Mahtari Vandan money is being received every month. Housing is being constructed at a fast pace. Farmers have been given the bonus due for 2 years.

Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma said that development work is being done continuously in the last one year under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. MP Shri Radheshyam Rathia and Smt. Kamlesh Jangde also addressed the program. On this occasion, MLA Sarangarh Smt. Uttari Ganpat Jangde, MLA Bilaigarh Smt. Kavita Pran Lahare, former MLA Shri Shamsher Singh, Smt. Kerabai Manhar, Ms. Kamda Jolhe, Shri Jyoti Patel, Shri Jagannath Panigrahi and other public representatives were present in large numbers.
