Jajvalyadev Lok Mahotsav and Agritech Agricultural Fair 2023 concluded today at district headquarters Janjgir-Champa with colorful cultural programmes, poet’s conference and song and music presentations. On this occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Charandas Mahant, Speaker Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly said that Janjgir is the district of all of us. When the name and recognition of this place increases, the recognition of all of us will also increase. Dr. Mahant said that Janjgir district is recognized as the city of Kosa-Kansa-Kanchan. The culture here has taken a different identity. There is a need to save these legacies over time. Through the festival, work is being done to preserve the culture and tradition of Chhattisgarh as well as to give it recognition. It is a matter of pride for all of us.

Chief guest Dr. Mahant further said that along with entertainment, the festival and fair are also an easy medium to tell the achievements of the past years and the public welfare schemes of the government. Ever since the government was formed in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, since then the poor, laborers, farmers and laborers of the state feel a sense of belonging. The dream of self-reliant and self-reliant rural India seen by Mahatma Gandhi through cottage industries is also being realized by the government through Suraji village scheme Narva, Garva Ghuruva and Bari. An innovative initiative is being taken to connect villagers with employment by promoting livelihood activities through the Mahatma Gandhi Industrial Park Scheme in Gothans. Assembly Speaker Dr. Mahant further said that no one would have thought that paint would be made from cow dung. Today this work is being done in the state. For this, including the Chief Minister, all the people engaged in this work deserve congratulations. He said that apart from giving platform to local artistes through the festival, the folk culture is being taken forward along with preserving it through state level artists. Dr. Mahant said that the culture of Janjgir district has been of advanced level. The poets, litterateurs, freedom fighters here have been of a very high standard. We all have got inspiration from him. Other personalities including Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant and Shri Shyamacharan Shukla provided irrigation facilities through dams and canals in the district. Due to his efforts, maximum production of paddy is achieved in the district. He congratulated the successful organization of Lok Mahotsav and Krishi Mela under the guidance of the newly appointed Collector and said that under his leadership, even better works will be done in the field of paddy production, Paradan, Gauthan and food processing plants will be set up in the district. The closing ceremony was attended by MLA Pamgarh Mrs. Indu Banjare, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cow Service Commission Rajeshree Mahant Dr. Ramsunder Das and Ch. State Shakambhari Board Shri Ramkumar Patel and other guests addressed. Appreciating the organization of Jajvalyadev Lok Mahotsav and Agritech Krishi Mela, everyone said that it would benefit the general public including the farmers. The guests also released Jajwalya souvenir on the occasion.

Jyoti Kishan Kashyap Member, Food Commission Chhattisgarh, Shri Harprasad Sahu – Member, Labor Welfare Board Chhattisgarh, District Panchayat Member Mr. Rajkumar Sahu, Janpad Panchayat Nawagarh President Mrs. Pritidevi Singh, Dinesh Sharma, Mr. Paras Sharma, Mr. Ravi Pandey, Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal, Additional Collector Mr. S.P. Vaidya and other public representatives, eminent citizens and a large number of farmers were present.
Mahadev Manas Mandali first in Ramayana Mandali Manas singing competition
District level Ramayana troupe competition was also organized on the occasion of Jajvalyadev Lok Mahotsav and Agritech Agriculture Fair 2023. Mahadev Manas Mandali of Janpad Panchayat Bamhnidih stood first in the competition, Har Har Ganga Ramayana Mandali of Janpad Panchayat Pamgarh and Anjali Nandini Manas Mandali of Janpad Panchayat Nawagarh stood third. Chief Guest Dr. Charandas Mahant Speaker Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha congratulated all the winners.
