Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike, during her stay in Bhopal today attended the closing ceremony of Tagore International Literature and Art Festival ‘Vishwarang 2022’ organized by Rabindranath Tagore University. In the festival, the Registrar of Tagore University presented the poetry collection ‘Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara’ and new issues of Bal Kavita Kosh, Vigyan Kathakosh book and Vanamali Katha Patrika to the Governor.
Addressing the concluding program of Vishwarang, Governor Ms. Uike thanked the entire team of Vishwarang-2022 for organizing this prestigious event. He also recalled the moments he spent at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center (former Assembly Complex) as a member of the Legislative Assembly.
Governor Sushri Uikey said that the festival has a confluence of poets, writers, artists, students of art, literature and eminent citizens of the world including Padma Award, Sahitya Akademi winners, which will surely explain the relevance of literature in life to the modern society. Will provide better opportunities. Governor Sushri Uike said that today the glare of the digital world has distanced the young generation from literature. Remembering Kaviguru Shri Rabindranath Tagore, he said that he was rich in multi-dimensional talent and could write prose, poetry, music, painting, He was proficient in many disciplines like dance. Our Sanatan culture and Gurudev’s thinking stream has been the same. Tagore’s works have been read all over the world in different languages. It is a matter of pleasure that we have gathered today to celebrate the Literature and Art Festival in his name. The Governor said that it is a matter of pride that along with our diaspora, professors and students of prestigious universities of the world have also participated in Vishwa Rang. This year also delegates from 35 countries like Netherlands, Russia, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Canada, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Australia have participated in the Vishwarang Festival.
The Governor also highlighted the achievements of Vishwarang 2019 and 2020 and the success of the event.
And it is an integral part of the culture. Art and literature have a big role in the solidarity of different countries of the world and the unity of their feelings. Indian literature has always nurtured the diversity of languages. Governor Sushri Uike expressed her happiness over the honor given to Hindi as the main language of the festival. He said that language has a prominent place among the symbols of national self-respect. Our civilization has always embraced intellectual freedom and celebrated cultural pluralism. Vishwarang is a grand celebration of Hindi and Indian languages. Vishwarang aims to promote Hindi and other Indian languages at the global level. Thanking the country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the concept of the National Education Policy, he said that lakhs of youth would be able to get education in their mother tongue. Mentioning the tenure of her National Commission for Women, the Governor said that she had done the work of making more than 50 percent of the Commission’s materials available in Hindi for protection of women’s rights and creating awareness among them.
Governor Sushri Uike said that keeping in view the importance of tribal subjects in Vishwarang-2022, as a unique initiative, Tribal Literature and Art Festival has also been organized. In which tribal art exhibition and film were also shown. He said that tribal society has a deep connection with nature. Efforts are necessary towards preserving tribal art skills, culture and knowledge. In our society, forest dwellers and primitive castes have maintained their art and culture, no matter how difficult and adverse the circumstances have been.
The Governor said that the Vishwarang World Peace and Harmony Tour, National Painting Exhibition, Children’s Literature and Art Festival, various sessions of literature, art, culture and music have been unique gifts for children and youth. Along with this, keeping in view the youth, the focus was also on technology, startups and entrepreneurship. He said that the presence of scholars in important sessions under Vishwarang Samaroh has definitely increased the significance of this event. In the future, it will see a wider impact in society.
Governor Sushri Uike urged the intellectuals present that the contribution of all of you is very important in making the new generation aware of the traditions of art, culture and literature as well as values. Today these cultural values are continuously declining and the definition of family has become limited. Along with the government, it is also the responsibility of the society to provide education about art and culture to the coming generations.
At the end of her address, Governor Sushri Uike said that a global dialogue will begin with Vishwarang among the creators working in literature, education, culture and language. This is very important for the permanence of cultural values in the era of digital revolution. Indian traditional art and culture will be preserved through Vishwarang. This is a remarkable event for propagating the values of Indian culture.
Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur and Health Minister Shri Prabhuram Chowdhary also addressed the closing program of Vishwarang.
On this occasion, Shri Santosh Choubey, Vice Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University and Director of Vishwarang, All Co-Directors, Vice Chancellor of CV Raman University, Bilaspur Shri R.K. Senior litterateurs and art lovers including P. Dubey were present.
