Raipur, 16 January 2022. Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Chherchera festival. The Governor has said in his message that this festival, displaying the great rural and agricultural culture-tradition of Chhattisgarh, is after the new crop has come home from the barn. The echo of Chherchera, Chhera of Chhera, Paddy Herhera of Mai Kothi… is heard by the children at the door-to-door.
The Governor said that this festival also brings alive the tradition of charity of the state. On this holy day, I wish that Chhattisgarh state is always full of wealth and its citizens are always happy.
