Governor Mr. Vishwabhushan Harichandan has extended best wishes to all tribal communities and citizens of the state on the occasion of World Tribal Day on August 9. In his message, the Governor has said that today is the day to be proud of our culture, customs, language, beliefs and thoughts.
The Governor said that the people of tribal society are simple, easy and innocent. They have an easy relationship with nature. Living in whose presence, we discharge our role for environmental protection. Bravery and self-respect are their natural qualities. History is the witness that when the time came, he stood firm for the protection of the country and also made his supreme sacrifice. On this occasion, I bow down to innumerable revolutionaries like Shaheed Birsa Munda, Veer Narayan Singh, Veer Gundadhur, Rani Durgavati, martyrs of tribal society. Tribal society has also played an important role in the development of the country. The central government and the state government are constantly making efforts for the upliftment of the tribals.
