Farmer’s seminar and Panch-Sarpanch conference was organized in Tatapani Festival

Departmental officials and elected public representatives appeal to farmers to promote organic farming

Tatapani Mahotsav being the center of faith also leads a huge gathering. During the festival, people come from far and wide to see the fair and to get information about government schemes. In this series, farmers and Panch-Sarpanch of all areas of the district also come here and get information about the schemes of the government. Collector Shri Vijay Dayaram K. In this year’s Tatapani Mahotsav, farmers’ seminar and panch-sarpanch conference was organized to inform the farmers and elected public representatives about the schemes. During the program, Vice President of Surguja Development Authority and Ramanujganj MLA Mr. Brihaspat Singh was present on the stage as the chief guest. 

Through this conference, farmers and Panch-Sarpanch were informed about the schemes related to agriculture by the officers of various departments and the benefits they would get from the schemes. In the conference, farmers were given detailed information about the sources of income ranging from organic farming to bee keeping. Explaining the importance of organic farming to the farmers in the conference, they were also made aware for millet production. During this, the Godhan Nyaya Yojana was discussed in detail.

Addressing the conference, Vice President of Surguja Development Authority and Ramanujganj MLA said that the use of chemical fertilizers adversely affects the health and harms the body. He said that considering seriously the harm caused to the human body by chemical fertilizers, the Chief Minister has worked to promote organic farming along with making vermicompost fertilizers in Gauthans of the state. Mr. Singh said that it is the result of the visionary thinking of the Chief Minister that the people of the state are now becoming financially prosperous by selling cow dung and now paint is also being manufactured from this cow dung, which will give a boost to local employment. Mr. Singh said that the Chief Minister is giving powers to the Gram Panchayats to empower them so that no one faces any problem at the village level.

Detailed information was given on coarse grains and small grain crops, millet mission in the farmer’s seminar. Detailed information about Kisan Samriddhi Yojana, Shakambhari Yojana, Krishi Yantra Seva Kendra and organic farming was given by the Agriculture Department. Horticulture Department informed about the state plan and the importance of crops in relation to water and soil conservation. Information regarding beekeeping was given by Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Detailed information was also given regarding the ambitious schemes of the government including Narva, Ghuruva, Garuva, Bari along with all the schemes being run in the Panchayat Department.

District Superintendent of Police Mr. Mohit Garg, District Panchayat CEO Mrs. Rena Jameel along with district’s farmers, elected Panch-Sarpanch and other people’s representatives were present in the Kisan Sangoshthi and Panch-Sarpanch Sammelan.
