Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the first Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Adarsh College of Surguja division today. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated the college in Keshavpur by cutting the ribbon after duly offering prayers. Deputy Chief Minister Shri TS Singhdev was present with him.
A total of 10 English medium Swami Atmanand Adarsh Mahavidyalayas are being opened in the state, out of which the renovation work of Swami Atmanand English Medium Adarsh Mahavidyalaya building at Keshavpur in Ambikapur was inaugurated today. It is known that the total admission capacity of the government college is 1000, in which about 610 students have taken admission.
After the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, while upgrading the Government Science College, renovation and construction works were done to expand the facilities. Today, the college is ready for the students with modern technology, smart classrooms, state-of-the-art library, laboratory, additional rooms and other facilities.
Renovation and construction works have been done in the college at a total cost of Rs 2.54 crore, in which laboratory building built at a cost of Rs 1.21 crore was inaugurated and beautification of the garden and construction of CC road at a cost of Rs 1.33 crore, on the first floor. Renovation of laboratory library and compound, renovation of Principal’s room office on the ground floor and construction of entrance gate and parking shed are included.
