Women’s groups got an advance order of Rs 25 lakh for supplying iron khila and fencing mesh wire

The Chhattisgarh Government’s Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme has started proving to be a means of bringing change in the lives of villages and villagers. As per the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the Rural Industrial Parks established in the Gauthans of the villages are now turning the villages into productive centres. In the Rural Industrial Park of Gudelia Gauthan of Bhatapara block, the unit for making iron and chain-linked fencing net wire started, only 13 days have passed, that the Nari Shakti Gram Sangathan, which operates this unit, has given an advance of supply of Rs 25 lakh. Getting an order is a happy start. Women who used to go in search of work in other states, have now started earning economic benefits by manufacturing wrought iron and chain linked fencing wire in Ripa, Gauthan. Due to the good quality of Khela and fencing mesh being prepared by women, it is in demand in the local market.
Balodabazar-The work of making iron khila and chain linked fencing forged wire has been started 13 days back by the women of Nari Shakti Gram Sangathan in Adarsh village Gudelia of Bhatapara development block of Bhatapara district. With the help of the government, so far a total of 2 quintal Khila and 25 rolls of chain linked fencing mesh wire have been manufactured from the unit established in Ripa, Gudelia, out of which the advance order for supply of 3 quintal Khila has been given by the shopkeeper of Bhatapara Nagar. Nari Shakti Sangathan has received an advance order for the supply of 600 roll chain linked fencing mesh wire for fencing of pastures and Gauthan by the nearby gram panchayats, which cost Rs 25 lakh. This will result in a net profit of Rs 3.5 lakh to the group.
Mrs. Kala Dhruv, a member of Nari Gram Shakti Sangathan, told that in the said unit, 12 to 15 forged rolls are prepared daily by the machine. The length of each mesh roll is 50 feet and the weight is 53 kg. Fencing wire mesh is being sold at the rate of Rs.80 per kg. Rajkumari Dhruv told that one quintal Khela is being prepared daily in our unit, whose market price is Rs.80 and there is a saving of Rs.10 per kg. The members of the women’s group are very happy with the operation of Ripa and apart from meeting their needs by getting additional income, they are also helping in the economic activities of the family. They no longer need to go out in search of work. He told that a total of 200 women from 20 women groups of the village are working in our organization. The women of the group are associated with other income generating activities including flyash bricks, paver blocks, masala, chappal, dona-pattal.
