Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike released the book “Elections and Innovations in Madhya Pradesh” written by Mr. Pralay Srivastava at a function organized in Bhopal today. Addressing the function, the Governor underlined the importance of election and franchise for the welfare and development of the country. He told that India is not only the largest democracy in the world but it is also strong and successful. He has given credit for this to the innovations in the election process and the faith of the Indian people in democracy. He described fair and free elections as the hallmark of Indian democracy. Along with this, he also underlined the role of media, the fourth pillar of democracy, in nation building.
Governor Sushri Uike expressed happiness by participating in this function organized at her work place Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh today and said that election process has special importance in a vast democratic country like India. Our democracy is not only strong but also completely successful. He said that election is the process which decides the direction and condition of the country. This not only decides the future of political parties but also of the country. The governor termed free and fair elections as the success of Indian democracy. He said that democracy, through elections, gives voters an opportunity to elect honest and strong representatives. Free and fair elections are the foundation of positive change in the society, which decides the future of the country. That is why all sections of the society should not only participate sincerely in the election process, Rather, you should also use your valuable vote. Because each and every valuable vote unites to form such a government, in which the interest of the country is linked. The welfare and development of this country completely depends on the votes of the voters.
Underlining the innovations and reforms in the election process, the Governor also mentioned the techniques being adopted in the election process. He said that innovation has made the election process easy, reliable and simple. The more fair, pure and free the election process is, the stronger the democracy will be. He said that along with the reforms in the election process, the innovations adopted have further strengthened the faith of the Indian public towards democracy. The right to vote in the country is the biggest and most powerful means of expressing one’s feelings. The Governor said that the powerful right to vote should be used by every person to choose such a government, which would be in the interest of all of us. He urged all the women and youth of the country and state to always take part in voting.
Describing the writing of the book as commendable, the Governor congratulated and congratulated Mr. Pralay Srivastava and expressed hope that this book would prove useful for researchers and students as well. At the same time, the Governor appreciated the senior media people present in the ceremony, underlining their contribution towards the society. On this occasion, the Governor said that media has played an important role in his life. While holding different positions, she is continuously working for the betterment of the public. During this, the media gave him new energy by spreading the publicity of his work and said that this same energy inspires him to work in the interest of the people even today. Addressing on this occasion, he said that what is going wrong in the society must be opposed fearlessly and the truth must be sought. Only then a better society can be built.
