Chief Minister Mr. Baghel paid tribute to the architect of the Constitution, Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by garlanding him.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the biggest strength of the people of the country is our constitution given by Babasaheb Ambedkar. Our constitution makes us empowered. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel expressed views to this effect while addressing the public birth anniversary function organized on the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of Constitution maker, Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the capital Raipur today. Earlier, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar by garlanding his life-size statue at Ambedkar Chowk.
The Chief Minister said that on one hand the country was fighting for freedom, while on the other hand Babasaheb Ambedkar was organizing and fighting for the downtrodden society to get rights. Babasaheb inspired the people of the backward classes of the society to struggle by being educated and organized. Mr. Baghel said that Babasaheb realized that the biggest weakness of the Indian society is education. Referring to Indian philosophy, he said that we consider the whole world as our family. Ideologically we are very high, but our behavior is not like that. Human beings are discriminated against in our society, equality is not treated. Many great men of the country including Babasaheb realized this evil of the Indian society and fought against it. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar fought for the rights of the downtrodden, the oppressed and the oppressed by becoming their voice.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that legends like Baba Saheb are born once in a century, he gave us the mantra to ‘be educated, be organized and struggle’. His thoughts inspire us to struggle and move forward. He imbibed Lord Buddha’s message of wisdom, compassion and friendship. Today the society needs it the most. The constitution given by Babasaheb gives us an opportunity for social, economic and political equality. We got reservation because of the constitution. Baba Saheb tried to bring change in the society. Under his leadership lakhs of people took initiation of Buddhism in Nagpur.
The Chief Minister said that our government has simplified the caste certificate. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where if the parents have a caste certificate, then the newborn child is given its caste certificate. If someone does not have a record of 50 years, then arrangements have been made to make caste certificate after the resolution is passed by the Gram Sabha or the General Assembly in urban areas. On the demand of the society for land in Naya Raipur, the Chief Minister said that the land is being allotted to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes on giving 10 percent of the cost of the land and 15 percent to other classes. He said that if the society wants to take government land, then mark the land, the land will be allotted as per the prescribed procedure. He said that the Guru Ghasidas Museum in Nava Raipur, Shaheed Veer Narayan Memorial and world class school are being built. The Chief Minister released the book titled Tathagat Sandesh Patrika and Constitution of India in the programme.
During the program, it was informed by the organizers that according to the announcement made by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel last year on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, approval has been received for the works. On acceptance of these works, Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar public birth anniversary celebration committee expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister. Last year, the Chief Minister had announced Rs 50 lakh for Mangal Bhavan and Rs 50 lakh for the construction of an auditorium at Devendranagar-based Buddh Vihar, installation of a new 20-feet tall statue of Babasaheb by the Municipal Corporation at Ambedkar Chowk. All these works have been approved.
On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Chairman Mr. Pramod Dubey, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Minority Commission Mr. Mahendra Chhabra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes Commission Mr. K.P. Khande, District Cooperative Central Limited President of the Bank Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Councilor of Municipal Corporation Raipur Mr. Sunder Jogi and many councilors and Mrs. Shakun Dahria, Ratanlal Dangi, Chairman of the organizing committee Mr. Dilip Wasnikar and many officials of the committee and citizens were present in large numbers.
