Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated the state’s first Swami Atmanand English Medium Adarsh ​​College in Kanker today. On this occasion, he said that the children who pass out from higher secondary schools through English medium, they will be able to continue their studies in Swami Atmanand English Medium Adarsh ​​Mahavidyalayas in future also through this medium. Ten English medium Swami Atmanand Adarsh ​​Mahavidyalayas are being opened in the state. The first of these Swami Atmanand English Medium Adarsh ​​College was inaugurated in Kanker today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he is happy that today the first Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Adarsh ​​College is being inaugurated in Kanker. It is our effort that the light of education should spread everywhere in Bastar. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the girl students of Kanker selected in Raipur NIT and Central University Bilaspur belong to poor families. There is no dearth of talent in children, the need is to provide opportunities to them.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel interacted with three girl students selected in NIT Raipur and one girl student selected in Central University Bilaspur under ‘Hamar Lakshya’ program conducted for school children in Kanker district through video conferencing from his residence office today. and wished them success. These girl students from poor families are being provided assistance by the state government for further studies. Under ‘Hamar Lakshya’ programme, 75 children of Kanker district have qualified in JEE. In this program, the Chief Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of unemployment allowance in Kanker district who got jobs and with the students of Kanker’s English Medium College.
During the virtual program in Kanker, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Kanker Shishupal Sori, MLA Antagarh Mr. Anoop Nag, MLA Bhanupratappur Mrs. Savitri Mandavi, Chairperson Municipality Mrs. Saroj Thakur, Collector Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Patel and many public representatives were present.
The Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand English Medium Excellent School was started in the year 2020 to provide excellent education in English medium to the students of poor families. This scheme became very popular in the state. During the meeting, there was a demand for Swami Atmanand schools in all the assembly constituencies of the state, on the basis of which many schools were started. Today, 377 English medium and 350 Hindi medium schools are running in the state under Swami Atmanand Yojana. Under the unemployment allowance scheme, an amount of Rs 80 crore has been given to 01 lakh 17 thousand beneficiaries in three installments so far.
The Chief Minister said that in the last four and a half years, 26 thousand 989 teachers have been recruited in schools. Earlier recruitment of 14 thousand 500 teachers was done, out of which 10 thousand 834 teachers have been given appointments in schools. Recently more recruitment of 12 thousand 489 teachers has been done, which is in process. He said that work has been done on priority in the field of education and medicine in all the districts of Bastar division. 314 closed schools of Bastar division were re-opened. Unemployment allowance is being given regularly to the unemployed youth. Bastar has faith in the schemes and programs of the state government, An environment of development and security has been created. Addressing the program, Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Sori said that the children are enthusiastic about the Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme. The children of Bastar region should also be smart and they should get the opportunity to serve on big posts. Collector Kanker Dr. Priyanka Shukla told that the beneficiaries of Unemployment Allowance Scheme who have got placement in Hyderabad will earn Rs. 13 to 15 thousand per month. 112 beneficiaries of this scheme in the district have got jobs so far.
