Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to the former minister of United Madhya Pradesh late Mr. Bisahu Das Mahant on his death anniversary on July 23. The Chief Minister has said that Mahantji’s whole life was connected with public service. Mahant ji has given his invaluable services for the development of the state as a legislator and minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh. He accomplished the work of betterment of the people through agriculture, irrigation and roads.
Mr. Baghel has said that Bisahu Das Mahant has made an incomparable contribution in making Kosa and weaving business famous from the state to abroad, in view of this, Chhattisgarh government has decided to award the best weavers of the state every year in the name of late Bisahu Das Mahant. Government Medical College Korba has been renamed as Late Bisahu Das Mahant Memorial Medical College Korba in honor of Mahant ji by the state government. Mr. Baghel has said that the state government is moving forward in the direction of giving a new dimension to the legacy of development left behind by our forefathers.
