Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the great tribal mass leader and freedom fighter Birasmunda and famous Gandhian leader and founder of Bhoodan movement Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his death anniversary by paying tribute to his picture at his residence office today.
On this occasion, he said that Amar Senani Birsa Munda was a leader of the people. He made the tribal community aware about water, forest and land and inspired them to fight for their rights. Birsa Munda ji opposed the policies of the then British Empire and worked throughout his life for the socio-economic advancement of the tribals. The tribal community today worships him like a god. His revolutionary thoughts and spirit of patriotism inspire people even today.
Remembering Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Mr. Bhave, who was honored with Bharat Ratna and Magsaysay Award, was creative and spiritual as well as a great freedom fighter. He is better known for the Bhoodan movement. Saint Bhave devoted his whole life for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden people and taught them the difference between right and wrong in life spiritually. He said that Acharya Bhave used to take land as donation from the landowners and give it to the poor people for cultivation. The life and thoughts and values of such a saint-fighter will always inspire us.
